General civil attorneys may not be aware of the laws governing school law issues. This CLE program will cover: the most common legal questions that teachers want answered; the top school law landmines from the adult student's perspective; and what parents of children in Texas public schools need to know. This presentation will include a discussion of the ethics decisions an attorney might make in determining whether engagement in a school law matter is proper and will reference appropriate sections of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct.
