With leasing back in full swing in some of the more prolific areas of Texas, more and more mineral interest owners are insisting upon custom lease forms rather than using a Standard Producers 88. As Texas jurisprudence struggles to keep up with the realities of modern oilfield practices, these lease forms are becoming increasingly complex. This presentation will provide an overview of these custom provisions and the issues they are meant to address. This course features streaming video and audio (as well as downloadable MP3 audio) presentations from a live CLE seminar by the Houston Bar Association (HBA) on May 3, 2019.
