The speaker for this course is Mr. Fred L. Shuchart, an attorney with the firm of Cooper & Scully, P.C. in Houston. Mr. Shuchart specializes in coverage and coverage litigation with over 20 years of experience in providing analysis and representation in all lines of insurance. He also has expertise in handling extra-contractual litigation and has served as an expert witness in extra-contractual litigation. Fred has been named "Super Lawyer in Insurance Coverage" from 2007 to 2015. He was named as a member of Super Lawyer's Blue Ribbon Panel in 2015. He was named as a Top lawyer in Insurance Law by American Lawyer Media and Martindale Hubbell in 2013 and 2014. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas, Illinois and Missouri, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, State Bar of Illinois, State Bar of Missouri, and the Houston Bar Association. He received his law degree from Washington University School of Law (J.D., 1985) and his undergraduate degree from Duke University (B.A., magna cum laude, 1982).
