General civil attorneys may not be aware of the laws governing school law issues. This CLE program will cover: the most common legal questions that teachers want answered; the top school law landmines from the adult student's perspective; and what parents of children in Texas public schools need to know. This presentation will include a discussion of the ethics decisions an attorney might make in determining whether engagement in a school law matter is proper and will reference appropriate sections of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct. This course features streaming video and audio (as well as downloadable MP3 audio) presentations from a live CLE seminar originally conducted by the Houston Bar Association on July 13, 2018. You can access this presentation on demand at any time during the course of the seminar session.
