This seminar will provide practical tips for handling jury charge issues, including preservation of error, avoiding land mines in the jury charge, and strategies on how to persuasively present your view of the charge to the trial court. This course features a streaming video and a downloadable MP3 audio presentation from a live CLE seminar on this topic that was originally conducted by the Houston Bar Association (HBA) on June 13, 2014. You can access this presentation on demand at any time during the course of the seminar session. This course is approved for 1.25 MCLE hours.

Some of the subjects to be discussed during this course include:

  • Jury Charges

  • Preservation of Error

  • Avoiding Land Mines

  • Strategies on Presenting Your View to the Court
