Speaker: Peter S. Vogul, an attorney with the firm of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP. He focuses his practice on technology and intellectual property. Peter Vogul is renowned as both a trial and transactional lawyer who deeply understands technology, science and intellectual property and the opportunities and problems they pose for clients. Governments and administrative agencies, major corporations and emerging businesses rely on Mr. Vogul to get right to the heart of an information technology or e-discovery dispute.

Mr. Vogul is often appointed a Special Master representing the court in IT and eDiscovery disputes. In addition, he is a seasoned arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, a court-ordered mediator in eDiscovery and ESI, Internet, eCommerce, intellectual property and IT litigation, and has represented numerous states, counties and municipal governments inside Texas and throughout the U.S. He received his law degree from St. Mary's University of Law (J.D., 1976). He received his M.S. degree from the American University (Computer Science, 1972) and his B.B.A. degree from The University of Texas at Austin (1969). He is admitted to practice in all Texas State Courts, U.S. Discrict Courts for the Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas, the Texas Fifth Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
