The instructor/moderator for this CLEonline.com seminar will be:

Ms. Laura Gibson, who is a name partner with the firm of Ogden, Gibson, White, Broocks & Longoria, L.L.P.in Houston. Ms. Gibson is a former trial partner with Liddell, Sapp, Zivley, Hill & LaBoon (now known as Locke, Liddell & Sapp) in Houston, and she has also served as a certified trial instructor at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. She has extensive trial and appellate experience handling complex commercial litigation and arbitrations in areas involving employment, energy, banking, securities, copyrights and communications law. She has handled arbitrations before the National Association of Securities Dealers and the American Arbitration Association. She is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Gibson has served on the Advertising Review Committee for the State Bar of Texas since 2004. She served as Vice-Chair of the committee in 2006. In 2007, she was reappointed to the committee for a three year term and was named Chair of the committee where she continues to serve. She is a member of the Houston Bar Association (Employment Law section), the State Bar of Texas (Employment Law section), the Legal and Compliance Division of the Securities Industry Association;, the Freedom of Information Foundation of Texas, Leadership Houston (Class XVIII), and a former director of the Southwest YMCA. Ms. Gibson has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Law & Politics Magazine for 2004, 2007 and 2008. She received her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center (J.D., 1984) and her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University (B.S., 1982).
