She is admitted to practice before all Texas courts; the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is a member of: the State Bar of Texas [Past Chair, Appellate Section, (1999-2000)]; the Houston Bar Association [Past Chair, Appellate Practice Section, (1991-1992)]; and the Texas Board of Legal Specialization [Civil Appellate Law Examination Committee, (1990 - 2005) and Civil Appellate Law Advisory Commission (1992 - 2000)]. She is a frequent author and speaker on civil trial and appellate law.
