The instructor/moderator for this CLEonline.com seminar will be:
Prof. David Hricik, who is an professor of law at Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia where he teaches courses in legal ethics, patent law litigation, remedies and alternative dispute resolution. Before joing the law faculty at Mercer, David practiced law as a litigator with the Houston law firms of Baker Botts, Slusser & Frost, and then Yetter & Warden for 14 years. While in private practice, he focused on complex civil litigation, patent litigation, malpractice defense, and ethics consulting. He has written and spoken extensively on legal ethics, professionalism, and intellectual property. He is a member of the Professionalism & Ethics Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (Chair, 2005-2008); Chair of the Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee of the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association (2002-03); and was a member of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct Committee of the State Bar of Texas from 1997-2002. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona (B.A., 1984) and his law degree from Northwestern University (J.D., 1988).
