Mr. Michael Skadden, who is an attorney in Houston with a practice devoted to international business, probate, property rights and civil rights law. Born in Germany, raised in France and especially in Spain, he speaks fluent English and Spanish and good French. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas; the U.S. Tax Court, as well as all state courts in Texas. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (Quebec and British Columbia Divisions), The U.S.-Mexico Bar Association, Amnesty International, French American Chamber of Commerce (Houston), and the Netherlands-Texas Business Association (Houston). He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law (J.D., 1986); his undergraduate degree from Rice University (M.A., Spanish, 1977), and a Ph.D. (Spanish) from the University of Texas (1984).
