The presenter for this course is Mr. G. Roland Love, an attorney with the firm of Winstead PC in their Dallas office. Roland is a shareholder in Winstead's Real Estate Litigation, Appellate, Intellectual Property, and Tort & Insurance Litigation practices. He is a past member of Winstead's Board of Directors and is also Board Certified in Commercial, Farm and Ranch, and Residential Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas (Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section, Council Member), Texas Bar Foundation (Life Fellow), Dallas Bar Association (Certified Mediator; Past Chair, Legal Ethics Committee and Law in the Schools Committee), College of the State Bar of Texas, American College of Real Estate Lawyers (Fellow), Texas Land Title Association (Chair, Institute Committee and Legislative Committee). His awards include Texas Monthly "Super Lawyer" (2005 to present). He received his law degree from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law (J.D., 1977) and his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University (B.S., Electrical Engineering, 1974). The speaker for this course is Talmage Boston, a shareholder with the firm of Winstead PC in their Dallas office. His practice involves all aspects of dispute resolution in commercial transactions. With more than 36 years of business litigation experience in Dallas, Talmage has tried jury cases and argued appeals all over Texas in both state and federal courts. Talmage is board certified (and has been recertified many times) in both Civil Trial Law and Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Talmage served as the 2003-2004 Chairman of the Litigation Section for the State Bar of Texas and as the 2004-2005 Chairman of the Council of Chairs for the State Bar. For his leadership activities, he received a State Bar of Texas Presidential Citation Award every year from 2005-2011. In June 2011, he completed his three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas. He also is a past Chairperson of the Business Litigation Section of the Dallas Bar Association. Talmage is the author of Raising the Bar: The Crucial Role of the Lawyer in Society (Texas Bar Books 2012), which includes a foreword by Dick Thornburgh, former Attorney General of the United States under Presidents Reagan and Bush. The book also has dust jacket endorsements from former U.S. Secretary of State James A. Baker III; former Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson; CNN Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin; Baylor University President Ken Starr; and lawyer turned best-selling novelist Richard North Patterson.
