CLEonline.com, together with Live Oak CLE, are pleased to present a special online CLE course that is designed to address current issues involving Permian Basin mineral lessors and producers in both New Mexico and Texas. The speakers for this program deal with these issues in their work everyday, and this seminar offers a great opportunity to hear from lawyers who practice in this active area of oil and gas law. This course features a series of streaming video and audio (as well as downloadable MP3 audio) presentations from a live CLE seminar on this topic that was originally conducted by Live Oak CLE in Midland, Texas on February 24, 2017. You can access this presentation on demand at any time during the course of the seminar session.

Subjects and speakers for this course include:

  1. Constructive Notice of Unrecorded Agreements

    • Pete Hosey, Jackson Walker, San Antonio

  2. Case Law Update

    • Bill Burford, Kelly Hart & Hallman, LLP, Midland

  3. Retained Acreage Clauses

    • Rick Strange, Cotton, Bledsoe, Tighe and Dawson, PC, Midland

  4. Leasing From State Burdened Lands: Who Can Do Leasing Now?

The presenter for this course is Mr. Stan Peyton, an attorney and CLE developer with Live Oak CLE in Austin. He is the former Director of CLE for the State Bar of Nevada and he was the Director of Audio/Video Programs for the State Bar of Texas CLE Department. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and licensed to practice in all state courts in Texas. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law (J.D., 1977).
